Christian Bassett is recruiting a Sales Manager Southeast Asia for a leading premium confectionary company.
 
The Sales Manager is responsible for the expansion of the business (Wholesale/retail and Food Service/HORECA) in the specified region. 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Responsible for leading the company’s strategy in your markets, achieving annual objectives (net Revenue, profitability and Value Market Share), whilst developing mid-term growth plans in top markets
• The Sales targets will be based on the business plan and volume forecast, developed as part of the yearly business planning cycle, strongly driven to drive sales and increase footprint. 
• Management of the entire P&L of the respective markets and key deliveries. 
• This also includes volume forecasting as well as ensuring a sustainable profitability in the long term. 
• Local voice and ambassador of the company with the customers within dedicated markets. 
• Work with the teams regionally and in Head Office to build, develop and unlock the potential of these markets in the mid to long term 
• Support, develop and implement Marketing and Sales activities in the local markets. 
• Execute the plans, which have been agreed. 
• Bring the brand awareness and penetration of the brand to the next level. 
• Build relationships with Distributors and retailers’ teams across and ensure, that the brand is constantly prioritized within the brand portfolio of the distributor. 
• Execute and optimize the local Trade Marketing activities. 
• Ensure that we are constantly visible in store and that our premium distinctive assets are utilized to drive awareness and penetration within the region. 
• Manage and evaluate promotion levels to achieve maximum returns on investment 
• Work closely with our customers and distributors in all markets to provide category and shopper insights to drive performance. 
• Conduct Analysis for Product Performance, Price Sensitivity and Portfolio Effectiveness.
• Close collaboration with Customer Service to ensure that the orders are delivered as per your annual commitment & quarterly forecast. 
• Monitor and assess competitive products and programs. 
• Develop defensive strategies and promotional efforts to stay ahead of competition
• Report fully analytical monthly
• Deliver product training, both commercial and technical, to the local sales, logistics and brand managers
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Background: A minimum of 10 years sales experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• FMCG experience 
• Distributor Management 
• Asia-Pacific experience
 
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Business administration or similar studies
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS 
• Fluency in English (both speaking and writing)
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS 
• Frequent Travels – willingness to travel 20%-30% of time
