Christian Bassett is recruiting a Merchandising Manager for a luxury jewellery company.
 
Position overview
• Oversee all merchandising in Korea.
• Manage merchandising team (1 staff for now) in Korea back office
• Provide advices and supports to the Korea market on sales & stock enquiries and all sort of merchandising activities and events
• Monitor and improve merchandising and logistic workflow for Korea
 
Role & Responsibility
 
Merchandising
• Monitor all shipments within Korea and daily logistic movements in local markets (salon-to-salon, local workshop movements, local movements to any events/photo shooting etc..) and work closely with salons and various departments such as
• Security/Marketing/VM, to support all business needs
• Optimize and manage stock allocations and rebalancing plans across Korea salons
• Manage important shipments/hand-carries on stock and logistic schedules
• Using historical and current trends, drive the business through pre-season planning, stock management, to maximize sales and optimize inventory
• Handle important sales enquiries and work closely with retail manager and salon managers to provide sales support, such as special jewellery pieces/clients/ logistic arrangements etc.
• Resolve and provide instructions to shop floor on any Merchandising/Logistic issues
• Collaborate with marketing and operation department and participate in promotion events, visual merchandising, and other projects
• Organize stock and logistics management for exhibitions and events, Roadshows, new salon openings, new product launch and new projects such as E-COM etc.
• Address stock issues and opportunities to Asia HQ
• Monitor Aftersales Service and work closely with workshops on repair jobs/costs & charges
 
Stock Planning & Others
• Monitor boutiques stock levels/assortments & Sales to determine optimal product mix, recommend and execute actions to support sales.
• Review product assortments and model stock for Korea salons and act as the main contact to Asia HQ in Hong Kong to achieve all plans/orders
• Monitor and ordering of sales materials for shop floor such as Advice Note, jewellery tools, packing materials etc.
• Organize event setting and gather suitable stock
• Maintain strong relationships with marketing team. Communicate on stock updates.
 
Visual Merchandising 
• Drive the business through pre-season planning, in-season forecasting, stock management, to maximize sales and optimize inventory 
• Support each salon for its display merchandising, with consistent zoning 
• Collaborate with marketing and operation department and participate in promotion events, visual merchandising, and other projects
 
Qualifications / Education Requirements
• Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related;
• At least 8-10 years in either luxury field or other high-end industry;
• Experience in High Jewellery market is a definitive advantage;
• Creative, team player, problem solver, excellent communication skills, strong professional conscientiousness, reliable and independent;
• Fluent in both English and Korean
