Christian Bassett is seeking a Made to Measure candidate for an International luxury fashion company. The following role will be office based, in Japan, Tokyo.
Key Results Areas
Business Development
• Promote Tom Ford Brand and develop MTM business through elevation of brand image, and continuous development of customer relations.
• Analyze local market opportunities and propose actions for MTM business improvement.
• Define seasonal MTM Budget with respect to identified business opportunities.
• Analyze competitors' information especially but not exclusively with regards to MTM services in terms of business and customers' trends, pricing, promotions, and special services.
• Analyze and monitor the MTM sales data for the market and take action to enhance sales.
• Develop relations with local businesses and authorities to maximize future business opportunities.
• Understand pricing structure of competing businesses and work with relevant functions to make pricing changes accordingly.
• Define MTM development strategy for the market.
• Through collaboration with retail, look for alternative business opportunities outside of store.
Customer Relationships and Customer Service
• Promote MTM products and services to all customers.
• Organize and attend the MTM/VIP events, ensuring that the event is conducted to the highest standard, paying particular attention to the overall customer experience.
• Manage the VIP Clients for the market and instigate actions to enhance customer needs.
• Support sales campaigns and MTM/VIP events with sales team when required.
• Manage any problems arising related to customer orders for MTM services.
• Be an ambassador for Tom Ford MTM services in the market, advocating MTM/VIP services to current and future potential customers.
• Work with CRM and Marketing functions to develop direct marketing initiatives for MTM business.
• Obtain feedback on products and services from customers and communicate to line manager, ensuring that positive actions are taken.
Product
• Act as link between HQ and market to communicate feedback, comments, and suggestions as regards market needs.
• Work with HQ to take actions to meet the needs of customers in the market as regards MTM products.
• Consolidate customer complaints with regards to product in terms of accuracy of measurement and other manufacturing faults to HQ and help influence for appropriate action to be undertaken.
• Communicate HQ MTM department seasonal changes, update any new initiatives for MTM to the market and ensure that appropriate action is taken.
• Manage MTM back-office team to provide an outstanding customer experience.
• Remain informed of the sellout rate of MTM and take actions to achieve optimal sellout.
• Work with planning and pricing department to ensure pricing of MTM garments are provided in a timely fashion
• Understand the logistics and timeframe required for the delivery of a garment; takes action to expedite the process when necessary.
Visual & Image Management
• Ensure that stores visually excite and entice customers and take action to reinforce standards.
• Partner with relevant functions to ensure that all stores have the required props to
• Manage and execute VIP events in line with image guidelines.

People
• Creates a training strategy with relevant departments to ensure that all staff are able to communicate effectively MTM services.
• Analyze and identify MTM training needs in the company and take appropriate action.
• Ensure that market has a succession plans for the MTM/VIP roles.
• Design and deliver MTM/VIP, formal wear, styling training to retail teams focusing on both technical skills and communicating with customers
• Elevate MTM team's image and service standards.
• Identify and reinforce MTM performance standards.
• Identify and coach the MTM team to reach operating customer standards
Sales Management
• Formulate MTM 3years plan with retail function and finance.
• Perform SWOT analysis of the market with regards to MTM, VIP services
• Set MTM business targets with retail and merchandising functions.
• Ensure MTM department objectives are in line with company objectives
• Support P&A in annual MTM communication plan in the market including Direct Marketing/Media plan, promotion material prepares.
• Co-ordinate and support in MTM CRM activity, such as area promotion activities ensuring that targets are met.
• Partner with Retail Manager to take affirmative action on the growth of MTM business.
Store Operations
• Take action to resolve issues to ensure the smooth operation of MTM business in market.
• Have an in-depth understanding of stores' activities and events to be able to intervene and provide a market-wide
• and strategic approach to improve MTM services and customer experiences.
• Be responsible for managing company communications to both internal and external customers.
• Ensure reports are submitted following the end of each business trip and at the end of the season.
• Act as bridge between Market and MTM Brand Headquarters.
• Review MTM business and Competitor analysis
• Provide monthly MTM activity report to HQ.
• Attend HQ seasonal meeting.
• Communicate fabric sales trends to the retail team.
• Cascade fabric and model change information to relevant parties.
• Review and improve MTM management process including delivery, control and follow up on all issues.

• Able to performance manage to ensure the consistent delivery of customer service that communicates luxury.
• Demonstrated intimate knowledge and understanding of products and collection.
• Worked across functions to ensure the delivery of MTM garments to the customers’ satisfaction.
• Proactively provided feedback to relevant functions to help improve the quality of the product as well as customer experience.
• Team leadership experience includes training needs analysis and taking action to close learning gaps to ensure the highest standards of performance.
• Experience with driving performance and achieving results through cross function collaboration.
• Is a recognized role model for the MTM brand image and experience.
• Able to deliver communications across all levels of the organization.
• Implemented process improvement measures to optimize resources.
