Christian Bassett is recruiting Assistant HR Manager for a luxury fashion company.
JOB PURPOSE
• The HR Business Partner plays a key role in driving people’s initiatives and supporting business operations in Korea.
• As a HR representative, this position manages all aspects of the employee lifecycle, partners with managers on people-related matters, and ensures effective HR operations aligned with both local business needs and regional HR strategies.
• The role also provides high-level executive and administrative support to the president of Japan & Korea region, contributing to the smooth operation of the Korea office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure an excellent employee experience (sourcing, interviews, offers, onboarding).
• Act as a trusted HR Business Partner to business leaders, driving workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, and performance management.
• Plan and execute learning & development, employee engagement, and People & Culture initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, Korean labor laws, and manage HR reporting, audits, and regional HR projects.
• Coordinate monthly payroll, employee benefits, and HR administration in partnership with external vendors, ensuring timely and accurate HR operations.
• Manage internal HR communications and respond to employee inquiries professionally.
• Provide operational support to retail operations by coordinating with cross-functional departments and resolving store-related issues.
• Provide Executive Assistant support to the President of Japan & Korea, including calendar management, travel arrangements, meeting coordination, expense administration, and executive correspondence.
• Coordinate internal IT support, including laptop and mobile device allocation, setup, replacement, and troubleshooting.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, BA or related field preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive HR business partner experience, preferably in luxury retail, fashion.
• Strong communication skills both in English and Korean.
• Hands-on experience across recruitment, employee relations, payroll, performance management, HR operations, and talent development.
• Experience supporting senior executives as an Executive Assistant is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Korean labor law, payroll practices, and social insurance.
• Highly organized with strong project management and multitasking capabilities.
• Proactive, service-oriented, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
