Christian Bassett is recruiting a Merchandising Director for a leading European luxury fashion house. 
 
Job Summary
Responsible for streamlining the organizational and merchandising strategies across all retail product areas. Ensure that the retail brand is delivering financially viable, cohesive and commercial ranges throughout all channels within the retail business. This will involve working closely with other senior leadership members to ensure that essentially the fashion offering in retail stores deliver on profit.
 
Direct Report to: Korea General Manager
Functional Report to: Global Merchandising Director
 
Responsibilities
• Oversee the planning and implementation of merchandising strategies
• Prepare budgets, present them to the relevant stakeholders
• Track inventory movement and systematically introduce promotions, sales, price changes, etc.
• Identify trends and monitoring supply and demand
• Collaborate with marketing department to brainstorm new projects, campaigns, and business ideas
• Interpret sales reports and providing guidance on how to improve figures and customer engagement
• Leadership team, HQ functional teams, Korea functional teams, Shared Service (i.e. Inventory Control, Finance), Stores

Key Experiences
• Minimum 10 years proven merchandising experience, preferably gained in retail and luxury industry, with 5 years at managerial level
• Extensive knowledge in both men’s and women’s wear and leather goods
• Buying experience
