Christian Bassett is recruiting a Country HR Manager for a European luxury fashion house.

Job Summary/Purposes

• Ensure a strong focus on the Retail Stores Area in terms of recruitment, employee relations and customer service issues.

• Provide full range of HR services in accordance with the HR HQ’s strategies and guidelines while cooperating with all Office Functions to support the achievement of regional business target.



• Co-operate with Retail Operation function to support achieving the retail business target

• Support the opening of new stores with proper hiring and staffing plans especially for Store Manager role, assuring an updated knowledge of the local market through a constant talent scouting activity

• Ensure that all store staff attends Induction Programme


• Provide strong support to local operation regarding recruiting, guaranteeing the efficiency of the recruiting & selection processes

• Devise and implement plan to retain quality staff


• Support HR HQ’s direction about qualitative and quantitative scheduling of his pertinent HR needs

• Define the staffing/hiring budgets and manage properly the planning and reporting processes in cooperation with Regional HR and the Finance team

Compensation and Benefit

• Managing compensation and benefits function to ensure internal compliance and external competitiveness

Training and Development

• Verify training and development needs of HR and ensure the implementation of training arranged with HR HQ/Regional

• Introduce specific training programs for the retail organization in collaboration with HQ

Performance evaluation

• Implements enhanced performance evaluation and compensation systems and works closely with the HR HQ/Regional for their ongoing improvement

Policy and Procedures

• Guarantee the policy and procedure’s application about his pertinent area

• Ensure the implementation of organizational models and structures coherently with HR HQ’s

• Ensure the implementation of the HR policies and procedures and work as business partner and coach with manager and employees to ensure that the working environment is true to the Company’s values and vision


• Make an effective reporting activity whether it be for the relevant country’s Line Managers or for HR HQ

Employee Relations and Communication

• Properly manage the employee relations and assure a constructive and collaborative corporate climate

• Act as a consultant and proactively engage in solving personnel issues

• Liaise with regional office on all important HR matters

• Ensure the management and the administration of personnel of the pertinent area


• Meet the Company’s legal and social responsibilities by monitoring the labour legislation and statutory requirements as well as the health, safety and pension provision
