    The first Bloomingdales stores outside of the US will open in Dubai early 2010. The Dubai mall will be home to a 146,000 sqft apparel & accessories store & 54,000 sqft home store – both operated by Al Tayer Insignia. The store’s merchandise assortment, upscale ambience and high level of customer service will be similar to Bloomingdale’s in the United States, while being sensitive to local preferences and customs.

  3. Etro — Worldwide

    UK:Italian designer label Etro Spa is due to open a new flagship store in London on Old Bond Street between the end of the year and 2011.

    GERMANY: Opening in Hamburg of its third German flagship store. After the unveiling of the Berlin store in 2002 and Munich in 2003, this new retail outpost will respond to the growing demand of ETRO’s valued clients in Germany.

    KUWAIT: The new boutique is housed in the Al Thuraya Mall in the Salmiya area in Kuwait. The store showcases the Etro womenswear and accessories collections.

    RUSSIA: Italian fashion label Etro has opened its flagship Moscow boutique in the exclusive Petrovsky Passazh shopping mall.

    Louis Vuitton will be expanding their London Flagship store on Bond St after acquiring the adjacent site, which was recently vacated by Donna Karan, who has relocated. The overall square footage will be greatly increased, resulting in the store becoming one of the largest luxury outlets in the UK. The new store is planned to open in early 2009.
